All schools are expected to offer enrichment and well-being opportunities for pupils, including extra-curricular activities. This is a part or the Ofsted inspection framework that schools are obligated to adhere to. Children’s University is a great way for schools to pull all this together and easily share and show how this work fits with the activities their pupils do beyond the school gate. However, not all schools run Children’s University.
If you’re part of a school looking to sign up, your local Children’s University is the best place to start when it comes to getting involved, as they can tell you how they manage membership and the processes and costs involved. To find contact details for your nearest Children’s University visit: https://www.childrensuniversity.co.uk/find-a-childrens-university/
If your school is in an area where there is no Children’s University in operation, you can still sign up. You could sign up as a Children’s University licensee and get all the tools you need to run in your school or multi-academy trust.
